What does ISKCON Do?
Just like all the darkness is dissipated as soon as light is there, similarly, the present suffering humanity can at once transcend all sufferings as soon as they turn to god consciousness.
And thus, Imparting the knowledge of Krishna (God) to one and all is the heart of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). With this core impetus behind all their activities, numerous ISKCON temples and centres are always putting on efforts to reach to masses and deliver God consciousness to them.
This is Krishna consciousness movement, that we are giving chance to the unfortunate. Everyone is unfortunate. We are giving chance how to become intelligent and fortunate. This is Krsna consciousness.
The key idea is to reach out to newer areas, make them grow in bhakti and eventually strengthen them such that they become via-medias in propagating Krishna Consciousness to their nearby areas.
At our ISKCON Ghaziabad, this department is progressing under the supervision of HG Sundar Gopal Prabhuji, where different nearby towns like Hapur, Pilakhuwa, Gadh Mukteshwar, etc have been taken up as Child preaching centers of ISKCON Ghaziabad. The goal is to spread Krishna Consciousness in these towns and establish independent centers so that they further help other neighboring areas become Krishna conscious.
Each of these towns holds its own public programs, in which experienced senior Vaishnavas educate people on spiritual philosophy and answer any questions the audience may have. The programs are held every Sunday and on special festival days with events like Spiritual discourse, Congregational chanting of holy names, and sumptuous feast prasad.
Areas like Pilakhuwa have shown tremendous results as it has led to the commencement of preaching programs in many new areas like Buland Shahar, Muzaffarnagar, Pili Bhit etc. Through these programs, thousands of people are getting to know about their culture, about god, about the knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita, getting to engage in the service of the Lord, and experiencing a life of fulfillment and bliss.
